Pet of the Week
Monopoly the Greyhound mix is ready to play with a new companion
From last week, Choco is still available for adoption. However, from before that, Speedy has found a new family. This week, meet Monopoly, an 8-month-old Greyhound/Catahoula mix.
If you love fun and games, then this bubbly, 45-pound puppy is meant for you. Monopoly was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 7 because he did not fit in with his previous owner’s lifestyle. He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is as sweet as can be.
As his name implies, Monopoly likes to play. He enjoys fetch, tug-o-war, chomping on squeaky toys, and playing chase. When he’s not running around at the dog park, he lounges around on the couch and snacks on Greenies.
In addition to being a ton of fun, Monopoly is also quite talented. He walks well on the leash and fetches toys — but perhaps most important, he is crate- and housetrained. However, after living in the shelter for more than a month, it may take him a couple of weeks to remember all of his skills.
Come meet Monopoly (#115209) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
