Pet of the Week
Someone point the way to a new home for ready-to-adopt Tito
Former featured pets Mojito and Monopoly are still waiting for their forever homes. This week meet Tito, an 11-month-old, 61-pound Pointer mix.
Tito is an energetic young man who loves to have a good time. Chase, catch, tug-o-war — you name it, he wants to play it. He is also a social butterfly who, according to his previous owner, gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. So feel free to bring your current vaccinated dogs to the shelter to meet a potential new playmate like Tito.
Tito also knows his way around a home. He comes when called, he will sit just about every time he is asked, and he is already housetrained. However, after living in the shelter for almost two months, it may take him a couple of weeks to remember all of his housetraining skills.
Tito was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 3 because his previous owners did not have a suitable home for a growing boy. He hopes to find a fabulous family with a spacious yard, plenty of toys and lots of love. To make this adoption even better for you, Tito has a lower adoption fee because he is a VIP (very important pet) who has been waiting patiently for you for more than 30 days.
Come meet Tito (#122182) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
Regular adoption fees are $95-$125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-$95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for kittens, $75 for adult cats, $50 for senior cats 7 years and older, and $50 for VIP cats.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, feline leukemia test for cats 4 months and older, microchip, rabies tag, and free leash or cat carrier.
