You promised yourself that in 2018 you'd workout, eat healthy, and keep all those other "good" New Year's resolutions — but what fun is that? Give yourself permission to misbehave at Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant, and focus on enjoying yourself instead.

Let loose with a cheat day — or several — because statistics show you weren't going to keep up with those vows anyway. Might as well grab the (Gilley's mechanical) bull by the horns and go big by breaking these popular New Year's resolutions.

1. Get in shape and eat better
Dining options are endless at Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant, so you'll have no trouble finding the right place(s) to indulge. Twelve onsite restaurants serve up everything from spicy tacos to saucy pizza to comforting steak and potatoes. If you have a hankering for something sweet, stop by Sweet Shop at Blue Moon Cafe. It's open 24/7 and has a huge selection of goodies that are guaranteed to derail your New Year's diet.

2. Get more sleep
You can forget about all that shut-eye you promised yourself. At Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant, there are slots and table games available at all hours. You’ll have so much FOMO (fear of missing out) you won’t be able to sleep. Need a jolt? Grab a coffee at Jackpot Java or take a ride on the mechanical bull at Gilley's.

3. Stop procrastinating
The dishes can wait until Monday, the lawn doesn't really need to be mowed, and your email inbox will never be empty anyway. All the chores will still be there when you get back, but you only get one chance to win some loot at the poker table, soak in a waterfall mineral bath, bowl a perfect game, and use your alias "Coco LeStrange," all in the same day.

4. Travel somewhere exotic
Why empty your bank account to travel abroad when you can just head 90 miles up Highway 75 for one of the best weekends of your life? Gaming, dining, bowling, movies, concerts, and more await, all without the hassle of airport security or learning a new language. Unless you don't know how to play craps, that is, and in that case it's easy to learn.

5. Spend less time on social media
You’ll be having so much fun at Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant, you won't be able to resist sharing your experience online. After all, you must Boomerang your ride on the mechanical bull at Gilley's, and Instagram your steak dinner, and showcase your poker skills on Facebook. When you're having fun, you have to let people know about it (so they can be a little jealous).
