Concert With a Cause
Texans for West benefit concert hits Annette Strauss Square
It's been a week since a fertilizer plant exploded in West, Texas, leveling buildings and homes alike. Residents are beginning to pick up the pieces, and you can help them get a leg up by attending the Texans for West benefit concert on April 28 at Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
Artists who've already committed to attend the impromptu concert include Toadies lead singer Vaden Todd Lewis, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, Somebody's Darling and The O's.
"Our hearts certainly go out to those affected by the devastation in the town of West," AT&T PAC president Doug Curtis said in a statement. "The center’s mission is about building strong communities, and we’re pleased to be able to help our neighbors to the south get West back on its feet again."
The musical event, which runs from 4-10 pm, is a collaboration between Communities Foundation of Texas, Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House, Granada Theater, The Kessler, House of Blues, Homegrown Fest, Club Dada, The Door and Good Records.
Tickets are $20, and all proceeds benefit the Texans for West Fund with Communities Foundation of Texas.
