The latest event cancellations in Dallas-Fort Worth due to coronavirus concerns
As concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus and government restrictions on group gatherings continue, more event cancellations and postponements are being announced every day in Dallas-Fort Worth. In an effort to keep you as up-to-date as possible, we'll compile a list of different announcements every week.
Note: Given the pace at which things are happening during these times, cancellations are coming at a rapid clip. To be sure you're up to speed, you may want to check with the presenting organization or venue regarding the status of any particular event.
Dallas
- AT&T Performing Arts Center Broadway Series: The productions of An American in Paris, scheduled for May 20-24, and Bandstand, scheduled May 26-31, have both been canceled.
- Bon Jovi: The rock band has canceled its entire summer tour with Bryan Adams, including a date at American Airlines Center on June 25.
- Elton John: The legendary singer was to have made a return visit with his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour on June 26 and 27 at American Airlines Center, but he has postponed all remaining dates in the United States to to-be-determined dates in 2021.
- Jo Koy: Just Kidding: The appearance by the comedian, originally April 30 and May 1 at Winspear Opera House, has been rescheduled for January 16 and 17, 2021.
- Jurassic World Live Tour: The tour of the theatrical production featuring animatronic dinosaurs from the Jurassic World series has been canceled, including the August 6-9 stop at American Airlines Center.
- Kitchen Dog Theater: The theater company's production of A History of the Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus by Washington Irving, scheduled for June 4-28, has been postponed to undetermined dates in the 2020-2021 season.
- Niall Horan: The former One Direction member has canceled his entire 2020 tour, including the date on July 14 at Dos Equis Pavilion.
- The Office! A Musical Parody: This comedy production, originally March 14 at Majestic Theatre, has been rescheduled for January 28, 2021.
- Todd Snider: This concert, originally May 1 at The Kessler, has been rescheduled for September 22.
- Whose Live Anyway?: The live performance of the improv comedy show, originally April 4 at Majestic Theatre, has been rescheduled for October 21.
Fort Worth
- Amphibian Stage Productions presents Mo Welch: The appearance by the comedian, scheduled for June 4-6 at Amphibian Stage Productions, has been canceled.
- Camila Cabello: The pop star has postponed her entire 2020 tour, including the date on August 18 at Dickies Arena.
- Hamilton: The national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical, scheduled for June 9-28 at Bass Performance Hall, has been rescheduled for January 18-February 6, 2022.
- Historic Fort Worth, Inc. presents Hidden Gardens of Fort Worth Tour: The tour, scheduled for May 17, has been rescheduled for May 16, 2021.
- Jurassic World Live Tour: The tour of the theatrical production featuring animatronic dinosaurs from the Jurassic World series has been canceled, including the August 13-16 stop at Dickies Arena.
Addison
- Firefly Run Texas: This illuminated nighttime race at Vitruvian Park in Addison, originally April 4, has been rescheduled for October 10.
Grand Prairie
Paw Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue: The live production based on the children's TV show, originally March 20-22, has been rescheduled for January 29-31, 2021.
Rockwall
- Rockwall Summer Musicals: The theater group has canceled its annual summer season, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Bye Bye Birdie, which was to have begun in June.
