Peppa Pig resumes playdates with kids in DFW after COVID-19 time-out

The preschool set's favorite loveable little piggy has resumed playdates with kids in Dallas-Fort Worth. Peppa Pig World of Play reopened at Grapevine Mills Mall on June 21, becoming the latest local family attraction to welcome back guests amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"After months spent social distancing, we are excited to provide our little piggies with a day of snorts, giggles, and jumping up and down fun,” says Tyron Calton, Peppa Pig World of Play attraction manager, in a release.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center and Sea Life Aquarium at Grapevine Mills also have reopened. 

Following the guidance of local and national health officials, all of the attractions have implemented enhanced physical distancing measures, new limited capacity two-hour playtimes, and stringent cleaning protocols before each playtime. Read more about their COVID-19 precautions here.

Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the Peppa Pig attraction. Face masks for guests are not required but encouraged, the company says.

Peppa Pig's World of Play opened in 2019 and allows children to step into the world of Peppa Pig and her family in a special setting full of "oinktastic" activities. There are 14 Peppa-themed play areas for little ones, including a family house, supermarket, and sensory garden.

Guests must purchase online tickets in advance and reserve a spot in any of the available playtimes. Currently, playtimes are at 10 am and 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday; closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The Peppa Pig gift shop is open 10 am-4 pm Monday-Thursday.

They are temporarily not taking any birthday or group bookings. 

As part of the reopening, Peppa Pig World of Play, LEGOLAND, and SEA LIFE are honoring DFW medical professionals by donating free tickets to local organizations and their healthcare heroes. For every guest who tags the attraction in a social media post during their visit, the attractions will donate one ticket to a local healthcare worker from a health care partner to be announced soon, they say.
