Concert Before Rangers
Country superstar headlines first-ever event at Globe Life Field in Arlington
Globe Life Field in Arlington, the new Texas Rangers baseball stadium, has booked its first event: Country singer Chris Stapleton will christen the venue with a concert taking place March 14, 2020.
Titled "Chris Stapleton's All-American Roadshow," the special concert will also feature special guests Willie Nelson & Family, Jamey Johnson, and Yola. It takes place nine days before the Rangers play the St. Louis Cardinals in an exhibition game on March 23, and over two weeks before the Rangers officially start their 2020 home schedule on March 31 against the Los Angles Angels.
Stapleton is a multiple Grammy, CMA, and ACM Award winner whose debut album, Traveller, went quadruple platinum. He followed up that 2015 album with two No. 1 albums in 2017, From a Room Volume 1 and Volume 2. Stapleton is nominated in three categories at the 2019 CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Single of the Year for "Millionaire."
Presented by Live Nation, the concert will go on sale at LiveNation.com to the public on Friday, November 1, at 10 am. A pre-sale for Stapleton Fan Club members will begin Tuesday, October 29, at 10 am. Citi cardmembers will also have access to pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, October 29, with the pre-sale ending on Thursday, October 31, at 10 pm.
