Calling all bakers: You could be the next reality TV star on upcoming CBS bakingshow
We must thank Julia Child for introducing food to television. But these days, it's the culinary and programming masters at the Food Network and Bravo TV who make us salivate as we sit on the couch and watch the experts show off their kitchen skills.
Although our waistlines don't appreciate it, our palates and dinner guests are certainly grateful.
When we heard CBS is bringing a baking show to its network, we were delighted by the news, because you can never have too much dessert, right?
Now, pastry chefs, wannabe chefs and just damn good bakers can attend an open casting call in cities throughout the country. On December 15, camera-ready bakers in Dallas can strut their stuff at Duo - All Things Culinary.
Here's how it works:
- Pre-register online.
- Fill out an application with photos of your best baked good and yourself. Bring your baked good and the application to the casting call.
- If you cannot make the casting call, submit a video.
- If you're a good fit, you'll get a call (or email) back.
We are dreaming up recipes for fruit tarts and infused ice cream sandwiches. But we are still working up the guts to try out.
