Touchy-feely entertainment venue founded in France debuts in Dallas

Sensa Dallas
A new immersive entertainment venue has opened in Dallas: Called Sensas, it's an internationally-acclaimed, multi-sensory experience now open in the Design District at 921 N. Riverfront Blvd. #100.
Sensas started in Europe: It was founded in 2015 by urban entertainment innovators Silvana Popovic and Grégory Lafon in Marseille, France, and has since expanded to 35 locations across Europe, Asia, and Australia.
They're on an opening kick, having recently opened locations in Brussels and Dubai.
The theme is "sense". Visitors are encouraged to use their sense of touch, taste, smell, and sound via a series of challenges — many carried out in complete darkness.
Challenges include navigating a maze by touch, deciphering cryptic messages via taste and smell, and testing reflexes in a laser obstacle course. The goal is to spur participants to discover their ability to adapt when senses are restricted.
The experience lasts approximately two hours, with visitors navigating through six rooms, each featuring a differently themed workshop based on one of their five senses. Hmm. What is the sixth room?
Prticipants receive hints and clues to assist with completing the challenges along the way. Examples of rooms include:
- Smell Lab – Put your nose (and memory) to the test as you're challenged to identify a variety of scents using only your sense of smell.
- Sight Lab – Navigate a pitch-black room filled with laser beams, dodging, twisting, and leaping like a contortionist in a thrilling test of agility and awareness.
- Anti-Gravity Room – Step into a mind-bending, distorted space that plays tricks on your senses—and makes for the ultimate photo opportunity.
Tickets are online (along with tickets for what seems to be another attraction at the same address) and start at $35 for adults and $28 for youth, ages 7 and up. Dates and times vary.
