Spectrum launches new Spanish-language network with bureau in Dallas

Patsi Arias
News organization Spectrum Networks is launching a new channel: Called Spectrum Noticias, it's a national Spanish-language news network, bringing Spectrum News to Spanish-speaking customers across the U.S.
Owned and operated by Charter Communications, Inc., the new network is available on Spectrum TV stations across the company’s 41-state service area.
Local Spectrum Noticias news bureaus have been established in Los Angeles, New York City, Florida, and Texas, where the bureau is located in Dallas.
Spectrum Noticias will feature 24 hours of continuous Spanish-language news from journalists stationed in local communities and Washington D.C. doing live reporting on major events, analysis of critical issues, weather forecasts, and reporting on stories that celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage.
"Objective journalism is a key pillar of a democratic society and Spectrum News is at the forefront,” says Spectrum Networks executive VP Mike Bair in a statement. "The launch of Spectrum Noticias underscores our dedication by expanding access to high-quality news programming and providing a trusted option to our Spanish-speaking viewers."
Spectrum Noticias’ weekday lineup will begin with anchor Patsi Arias each morning, followed by afternoon news anchored by Philip Klint. Spanish-language news industry veteran María Rozman, most recently news director for Telemundo in Atlanta, recently joined Spectrum News as Senior Director, News for Spectrum Noticias to lead editorial content for the network.
The local bureaus
In addition to the national news network, Spectrum Noticias has established local news bureaus in Florida, Los Angeles, New York, and Texas, in communities with large Spanish-speaking populations.
These reporters will focus on local news and local politics that impact the Hispanic community. In these markets, Spectrum Noticias viewers will see additional local headlines every 30 minutes throughout the day.
Spectrum TV customers can watch Spectrum Noticias via their Spectrum TV lineup and should check local listings or visit the Spectrum Noticias website to confirm channel location.
Spectrum Noticias is available to all Spectrum customers via the Spectrum News App for mobile, Xumo Stream Box, Roku, and Apple TV. Spectrum Noticias is available on the Basic, TV Select, TV Choice, Mi Plan Latino, Latino View, and TV Stream Latino tiers of service.
Spectrum News has been covering Austin and San Antonio since 1999. In 2020, Spectrum Networks launched Spectrum News 1, a new platform servicing Dallas-Fort Worth featuring hyperlocal news, politics, weather, and original local content.
Charter Communications, Inc. is a broadband connectivity company and cable operator with services available to more than 57 million homes and businesses in 41 states. Spectrum Networks carry distinct, comprehensive, and exclusive local programming on over 30 networks across Charter’s footprint.
