Where to Shop Now
Where to shop in Dallas right now: 7 must-hit stores for January
Typically, January shoppers fall into two categories. You're either still recovering from holiday spending and vowing to stay away from stores until your tax refund comes in, or you've got holiday cash and gift cards burning holes in your pockets and can't wait to get out there.
No matter which camp you fall into, you'll find a visit to these Dallas shops will set the standard for a fabulous shopping year ahead.
7 For All Mankind
This Dallas denim staple is staying in NorthPark Center but moving to level one between Nordstrom and Macy's. As always, you can shop both men's and women's denim and sportswear in addition to shoes, sunglasses, and accessories. This is the brand's only store in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Market
With spring break getaways on the brain, travel wardrobes must be planned. Shop this highly selective boutique for stunning pieces from Alice McCall, Cutler & Gross, Lisa Marie Fernandez, Liya, Maggie Marilyn, Redone, and Victoria/Tomas. The Highland Park Village store, which constantly offers new and exciting designers in addition to more classic labels, is showcasing Dallas exclusives by Goldsign, Jean Atelier, Jourden, and Polly Plume.
Sam's Club Now
This futuristic store, at the corner of Belmont and Greenville avenues, is entirely self-service, where customers can use an app to scan items as they shop. When you are ready to leave and have paid (via the app, of course), a staff member will give you a final nod and you're on your way. This is a one-of-a-kind shop for Sam's, and time will only tell if it will be a hit or a miss.
Scarlet Reagan Gallery + Events
This self-proclaimed "anti art gallery" is the hottest spot to be on Live Oak right now. Owned by artist Kristi Kennimer, this studio acts as a space to display and sell art, as well as an event space for people in East Dallas (and beyond) to host hoppin' parties without absolutely breaking the bank. If you are looking for boring, pretentious, or exclusive space, this is not the place for you. Expect an energetic and welcoming atmosphere that showcases creativity, and frankly, some drop-dread gorgeous pieces.
Tecovas
Although Texans might argue that cowboy boots are always in style, the runways are loving them lately, and this Austin-based brand is owning the trend. The brand has also recently launched a debut denim collection featuring two men's signature styles. The Standard Jean and The Slim Jean are pants designed to fit over cowboy boots. (Genius!) And while both the jeans and boots currently are available online only, they plan to explore brick-and-mortar opportunities in Texas in 2019.
The Pure Company
Is there any better way to get a clean start to the new year than with a fresh living space? Dallas has gone head-over-heels for this hometown company that creates stylish air purifiers and oil diffusers that blend seamlessly with sophisticated spaces. Their Portable Air Purifier is the first ever air-purifier equipped with a built-in aromatherapy feature, and it was named a CES 2019 Innovation Awards honoree. To celebrate the honor, they are offering 10 percent off, sitewide, with the code CES10 through January 14.
Uncommon Man
Head over to Hillcrest Avenue to shop the exclusive Ambrosi trunk show, January 18-19 from 10 am to 6 pm. This Neapolitan trouser brand is one of the most well-known out of Naples and is the epitome of Southern Italian style and luxury. Salvatore Ambrosi himself will be on site, sharing stories of the custom creation process. Appointments are encouraged (but not required), and can be made by calling 972-913-4617.
