Dallas' Highland Park Village brings flashy Italian into fashion fold
Highland Park Village has a new high-fashion tenant: Etro, known for kaleidoscope prints, rich colors, and bohemian flair, just moved into Dallas' most upscale shopping destination. This is the first local standalone shop for the Italian brand and only the seventh in the United States.
"I think it does well in Texas because it's such a fun, colorful line — and one of the few that is strong in men's and women's collections," says CultureMap's Houston-based fashion authority Clifford Pugh.
According to a release, the interior "represents the latest generation of Etro boutiques," inspired by art deco design. Think silver metal accents and gray marble floors punctuated by pops of color, like the fuchsia border on the area rug.
Etro joins other luxury fashion brands such as Hermes, Chanel, Balenciaga, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Alexander McQueen, among others. Etro is open Monday-Saturday, 10 am-6 pm, and Sunday, noon-5 pm.
