With a slew of store openings — and more on the way — there has never been a better time to shop in Dallas. A spin through these fashion hot spots is sure to lift spirits — and damage bank accounts.

Aftershock London
The Plaza at Preston Center recently welcomed the first Aftershock London U.S flagship. The brand known for of-the-moment and affordable glamour has attracted a dedicated following of celebrities and brings dynamic European style to Dallas.

Alexander McQueen
Famed British fashion house Alexander McQueen is the newest notch in Highland Park Village's couture belt. The timing couldn't be better, as Crystal Charity Ball chose Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton as the featured designer at the fall 10 Best Dressed Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon. We can't wait to see what gorgeously constructed pieces the ladies will be wearing.

Edo Popken
The Swiss brand known for its limited-edition men's dress shirts soft opens June 6, just in time for Father's Day. President Edo Popken, a longtime DIFFA supporter, is personally involved in the design of all garments, which are more works of art than apparel. The Design District locale is the first Edo Popken store in the United States.

Lavo Collections
Stay on top of the hottest trends at the latest addition to Mockingbird Station. Boasting a wide selection of affordable clothing, shoes and accessories, Lavo Collections can fill every hole in your wardrobe. Think crochet shorts, flowy print dresses and funky accessories to style you through summer.

Lublu
Russian-born designer Kira Plastinina is opening a shop in Preston Center later this month. With stores in her hometown of Moscow and one in LA, the young designer is eager to unveil her flagship store in her current hometown of Dallas. Look forward to getting your hands on her feminine yet daring collection.

Ornare
This new Design District showroom is what we like to call 4,000 square feet of home decor heaven. The Brazilian brand boasts a clean, luxurious aesthetic for the kitchen, bath and closest and offers wealth of customized selections in a variety of unexpected materials such as cowhide and imprinted leathers.

TenOverSix
This LA import recently opened at the Joule hotel downtown. On one side is TenOverSix Presents, a new kind of hotel gift shop with whimsical home decor, funky accessories and one-of-a-kind trinkets. The other side is stocked with contemporary womenswear with new-to-Dallas brands such as Araks, Vena Cava, Apiece Apart and Novis.

Uno de 50
This new Dallas Galleria shop offers unique jewelry for men and women, made with mixed metals, leather, crystals and resin. Everything is handcrafted in Spain and priced fairly. We love the bracelets that you can stack up your arm for an artsy boho-chic look.

V.O.D.

This Victory Park boutique is not new, but it has become a destination for girls who crave of-the-moment fashions from up-and-coming contemporary designers. Case in point: V.O.D. now carries looks from Jonathan Simkhai, one of the rising stars currently on tour with the CFDA Fashion Incubator program.

Hip vintage clothing and coffee shop debuts near Dallas' Deep Ellum

There's a cool new shop combining coffee and fashion, now open in Dallas: Called Fetch, it's a coffee shop and vintage clothing store that opened in July on the other side of Deep Ellum, at 3902 Elm St., taking over a former office space, where it's serving up trendy espresso and matcha drinks with frocks from past decades.

The shop is from sisters Rebeca Hall and Renee Gonzalez, a savvy duo who grew up in Río Verde, Mexico, around their grandmother who did sewing and loved coffee.

"In a way, this is a tribute to her," Hall says.

Gonzalez brings the coffee expertise, having worked in coffee shops around Dallas, most recently at Le Bon Temps in Deep Ellum. Hall is the fashion queen: She's been doing vintage clothing pop-ups at local markets for the past three years.

The coffee bar is in front, with a menu of classic coffee drinks as well as specialty drinks named for fashion icons such as their best-selling Paris LA matcha, named for Paris Hilton, with ceremonial matcha, cold foam, and coconut.

Dear Jane Latte — named for Jane Birkin — contains espresso, cherry syrup, vanilla syrup, and cold foam. The Porsche 911 Latte has cold brew and butterscotch syrup.

The vintage operation aims to keep clothes out of the landfill. They have clothes for both men and women, including bowling shirts, fun 70s suede skirts, and cute faded T's. There are vintage handbags and designer shoes, including coveted names like Prada, plus old magazines like Playboy stacked in casual piles.

The shop is open Thursday-Sunday, in a space that's as stylish as their intent, with high ceilings and cement floors painted a glossy gray. Decor includes a red lips couch, a cowhide throw rug, and chairs with furry leopard pattern pillows.

On Saturdays, their dad Eric spins records at a DJ station beneath a twirling disco ball, and their mom Juanis helps by sewing and upcycling vintage pieces.

The area is still in expansion, but that has not stopped Fetch from already becoming a destination.

"We loved the area, the neighbors, it has the feel of a beautiful place," Hall says.
