Stylish Dallas scenesters step out for Steven Alan grand opening on Knox Street
Knox Street is fast becoming the hottest retail destination in the city, a status assured by the opening the Steven Alan boutique. Savvy Dallas shoppers hit the store recently for a grand opening celebration with Steven Alan himself, who came to Big D to help with the local launch of American-made Shinola handcrafted watches, leather goods and bicycles. (Yep, you read that right.)
Steven Alan has earned a rep for stocking his stores with carefully selected emerging brands — such as Alasdair, Clare Vivier, Engineered Garments, Filson, Lauren Moffatt and Mansur Gavriel — as well as his own line. This is the first Steven Alan store in Texas.
Joining Alan and store manager Jonas Joiner were attendees — including man-about-town Jackson, Krista and Garrett Kleban-Jones, Debra Nelson, Greg Haynes Johnson, Don Nelson, Bethany Burke, Micah Burke, Scott Campbell, Amanda Reed, Leah Leybovich, Andrea Bernad, and Javier Devesa — who browsed the racks, noshed on Americana- inspired apps and sipped Shinola Cola cocktails. They also snapped photos with their phones of Austin-based band White Denim, on hand for an intimate musical performance.
