New Inwood Village boutique suits savvy Dallas shoppers
Opening a boutique seemed inevitable for friends and former co-workers Anne Daniel and Pamela Cotter, who’ve worked in the retail industry for more than 25 years. About a month ago, they opened the doors to Wolo Boutique in Inwood Village, where they sell a range of classic yet sophisticated designs.
“We’ve been friends for the past seven years. We met while working briefly at Inge’s in Las Colinas, and then we worked together at Turtletique here at Inwood Village for the past six years,” Daniel says.
“After Turtletique closed, Pamela started a personal shopping company, and I took some time off to spend with my twin 4-year-old boys. We remained close and decided it was time to open a store of our own.”
As a nod to New York’s Soho neighborhood, Daniel says that Wolo is an homage to “West of Lovers.” The store boasts an eclectic assortment of womenswear and accessories, catering to fashion-minded women ages 30 to 70.
Shop for lines such as Finley, Lafayette 148, Lola & Sofie, Nicole Miller, Agave Denim, Raoul, Sisters, Georg Roth, and Buchanan and Kang. Prices range from $28-$250 for casual wear, $280-$1,200 for collections and $150-$375 for separates.
Although the price point is similar to Nordstrom, shoppers who prefer a boutique experience will appreciate the unique aesthetic and lesser-known brands at Wolo.
“We carry career collections that are not available in department stores,” Daniel says. “We try to find pieces that are not a fortune but are really cute.”
Drop by Wolo to see for yourself. The store is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 am-5 pm.
