Super-Secret Listing
Dallas buyers better get a jump on this secretly for-sale Oak Cliff home
A charming Oak Cliff abode is quietly sneaking onto the market — so quiet, in fact, that it's not even listed on MLS yet. We spotted it on Candy's Dirt, and after seeing the pictures, you may want to email agent Brian Davis at Dave Perry-Miller and ask for a showing before the crowds start assembling.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 118 N. Winnetka Ave. is listed as being built in 1927, but the current owner thinks that's highly unlikely given the location. She places the construction at somewhere between 1910 and 1920.
Regardless of its official birthday, it looks darn good for its age. A wide front porch is as welcoming as the well cared-for exterior, with its soft blue-green paint and crisp white trim.
Inside, tall ceilings and oversize crown molding make the 1,800 square feet feel even larger. Beautiful and plentiful windows allow light to pour into every room.
Some of the home's modern conveniences are visible — huge walk-in shower, jetted soaking tub, ample closet with adjustable shelving — while others, like a newly installed tankless water heater, are not. The kitchen has the requisite stainless steel appliances along with dual dish drawers.
"It's a great blend of old and new that allows for easy living with lots of character," Davis says.
Out back, a large rear deck hints at spring parties, while dogs and kids have plenty of lawn space to run around. Better get a move on before it's gone.
