Deion Sanders’ former Prosper manse can still be had — with a new neighbor
Once upon a time, Prosper had little in the way of development — except for a 29,000-square-foot mansion that belonged to Deion Sanders. These days the town is booming, and the land around the former Dallas Cowboy’s former home was bought by Bloomfield Inc. in 2014 for development.
But that mega-manse, 1280 N. Preston Rd., is still available. It had once sold at auction (with more than 9 acres), then went back on the market. The house (on 5.96 acres) goes into MLS any day now with Ebby Halliday agent David Gloria.
The home will be marketed for $12.75 million. It has been spruced up — paint, carpet, staging — and will feature a vintage chandelier in the front foyer, which came from the Statler Hilton in downtown Dallas. It has 10 bedrooms and 10 full baths; the master closet is the size of most people’s apartments.
The football field and 12-acre lake that once were part of the package now belong to the development, but the indoor and outdoor pools remain.
It will be easy for the new owner to get groceries, as a Kroger, Prosper’s first supermarket, opens next door later this month.
