Dallas edible cookie dough shop scoops up second location in Frisco
The new year looks sweet for cookie dough with the opening a new shop in Frisco.
The Dough Dough, which was the first edible cookie-dough concept in Dallas, will open a second location at Frisco Bridges, a specialty retail center next to the Stonebriar Centre Mall. The street address is 3311 Preston Rd. next to Super Chix.
According to a representative, the Frisco location will open in February.
The Dough Dough was launched in March 2018 by Gina Ginsburg, a familiar name in Dallas society circles who has a long track record as an entrepreneur. She started out selling cookie dough online before opening her first location in Dallas at 5915 Forest Ln., on the northwest corner of Preston Road.
The edible cookie dough has a shelf life of up to three weeks when refrigerated and three months in the freezer. Most of the doughs can be baked in the oven into a traditional cookie at home.
It's become a popular item for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, with offerings such as cookie-dough dessert bars, dessert towers, favors and more.
The Frisco location will offer delectable cookie-dough flavors, plus indoor and outdoor seating and Henry's Homemade Ice Cream.
New dough flavors of the month will be introduced at both locations throughout the year. The spring flavors are as follows:
- January: Cinnamon Roll and Salted Caramel
- February: Lady in Red and The Chocolate Grizzly
- March: The Unicorn & The Dough Dough Contest Winner, which is decided by fans through votes on social media
Popular cookie-dough cake slices are currently offered at The Dough Dough Dallas and will be available twice monthly, Thursday through Sunday at the Frisco location, with flavors rotating each week.
Seasonal favorites — like hot chocolate with cookie dough, decorated cookies and cookie-dough cupcakes — are offered daily or can be ordered in advance. You can also order custom cakes.
