Dallas' Victory Park wraps up healthy niche with latest restaurant
A new restaurant has been added to the lineup at Victory Park: Freshii, which will open on Victory Park Lane, next to Jimmy John's, in summer 2016.
Freshii is a fast-food chain from Canada that serves wraps, soups, salads, and frozen yogurt. The menu includes "healthy" items such as quinoa and the popular "bowls," and Freshii also does some of its wraps with collard greens in place of tortillas. The Victory Park store will cover all meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
A release describes it as "environmentally sustainable," although there is not much that's environmentally sustainable about its use of disposable containers and plastic flatware.
The Victory Park branch will be the fourth in Dallas. The other three are at the Adolphus Tower on Main Street, in the Plaza of the Americas building, and at Baylor Hospital. There are also outlets in Houston, San Antonio, and Waco.
Terry Montesi, CEO of Victory Park owner Trademark Property, says that more restaurants and food options are coming soon.
"As new tenants continue to open and construction on the new buildings and common areas progresses, Victory Park Lane will begin to be transformed into the two-sided, pedestrian-friendly retail district we envision," Montesi says.
Recent additions include the Café Victoria coffeehouse, which opened on January 16 and offers coffee and pastries and BuzzBrews Kitchen, which is scheduled to open in spring 2016.
Other recent milestones include the multi-level, mixed-use building at Victory Park Lane and High Market Street, which will include Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas-Victory Park, set to open in 2017.
