New Shake Shack in Old Town Dallas fires up burgers and shakes
A new location of Shake Shack, the New York-based burger chain, is about to open, which ordinarily might not summon as many thrills as it used to. But this one is in a location that people care about: Old Town.
The newest location in Dallas, it'll open on May 27 at 5500 Greenville Ave, Unit #505 and will be part of the Old Town Shopping Center, right off of Greenville Avenue.
Shake Shack is the burger chain known for Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, frozen custard, and pre-frozen crispy crinkle cut fries.
The Old Town Shack will be spinning a unique selection of frozen custard concretes:
- Pie Oh My: Vanilla custard with slice of Emporium Pies seasonal pie
- Cookie Butter Blender: Vanilla custard, cookie butter, chocolate toffee, chocolate sprinkles
- S’more: Chocolate custard, marshmallow, Mast Brothers dark chocolate chunks, and graham cracker
Hmm Mast Brothers; seems like an odd choice. The menu will also feature the Texas-exclusive Link Burger, a cheeseburger topped with Pecan Lodge jalapeno cheese sausage link, pickles, and sauce.
Beverages will include local beer from Community Beer Co., Deep Ellum Brewing Company, and Four Corners Brewing Co., plus Shake Shack's exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack Red and Shack White wine from the Gotham Project. Shack, Shack, Shack.
The 2,929 square-foot location will feature an outdoor patio with a custom mural by Mr. Kiji. Tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; and booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
