Guy Fieri goes for tacos with new restaurant at Arlington's Texas Live
There's finally news about the new Guy Fieri restaurant concept opening in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the news is tacos.
The colorful chef, restaurateur, and food television icon has revealed the theme for his signature concept at Texas Live. Called Guy Fieri's Taco Joint, it will debut with the project when it opens in the Arlington Entertainment District, joining fellow celebrity restaurants Troy's by Troy Aikman and Pudge's Pizza by former Texas Ranger Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez.
They'll all debut on August 9, along with Arlington Backyard, Live Arena, PBR Texas, Sports & Social Arlington, and Lockhart Smokehouse.
In a release, Fieri says he is "stoked" to bring Taco Joint to Texas Live.
"Nothing starts a good party like some killer tacos and a few margaritas, and we're doin' it all in Arlington," he says, adding, "Love, Peace and Taco Grease!" which is probably-maybe the restaurant's motto.
Located in the heart of Texas Live with views into Live Arena, Guy Fieri's Taco Joint will feature a variety of scratch-made tacos, housemade salsas, and guacamole.
Featured menu items include the Al Pastor, consisting of Shiner Ruby Red-glazed pork shoulder tacos with chipotle and sweet onions, grilled pineapple-serrano salsa, cilantro, cotija, and avocado-tomatillo salsa.
The Achiote Chicken will have shredded slow-braised achiote marinated chicken with borracho sauce, pico de gallo, cabbage, cotija, and salsa rojo.
In addition, the venue will feature a full bar with margaritas, Mexican beer, and some classic Guy concoctions.
The Grand Opening celebration for Texas Live will take place August 9-12 in the Arlington Entertainment District. Festivities kick off Thursday, August 9 with a performance by Toadies on the Arlington Backyard stage.
The celebration will continue throughout the weekend with a packed line up of live music and entertainment, events, and activities for the entire community. A full schedule can be found on Texas Live’s website.
