Snuffer's Restaurants heads east of Dallas for latest burger expansion
There's more good news for fans of Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar, as the local chain known for its burgers and cheddar fries is expanding east. The latest new location is slated for December and will open in Mesquite, at 3726 Towne Crossing Blvd.
Steve Chambers, senior director of operations for Firebird Restaurant Group — which owns Snuffer's along with El Fenix, Meso Maya, La Ventana, and Tortaco — says in a release that the company is thrilled to hit another part of North Texas, calling Mesquite a great place to live, work, and play. "We wanted to do our part to make it an even better place to eat as well," he says.
Snuffer's just opened a location in Plano on July 31, at 4901 West Park Blvd. East is a good direction to go and still relatively unserviced as far as restaurants go, with big chains and small one-stops, but nothing in between. All that's left is west and south. Who bets a dollar that a Snuffer's is coming soon to Fort Worth?
On August 7, Snuffer's executive team will join the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce in a ground-breaking ceremony, where they'll turn over the earth using giant forks instead of shovels. Forks! That should be funny. What a photo op.
Snuffer's has been a Dallas institution since 1978. When the restaurant opens in early December in the Towne Crossing Shopping Center, it will be the 13th location in North Texas.
