Gooey s'mores-themed dessert shop sweetens lineup at Plano food hall

Sweet s'mores are on the menu at Plano's food hall: Mallow Box, a gourmet marshmallow shop, will open at Legacy Hall, at 7800 Windrose Ave. on August 10.
Mallow Box is from Martha Ware, an entrepreneur who founded her company in 2018, selling gourmet marshmallows via her website mallowbox.com and at pop-up shops at malls and other venues.
In 2019, she opened her first retail outlet at Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, where she also introduced desserts, shakes, and hot and cold drinks. Legacy Hall is her second outpost.
"I was drawn to the unparalleled energy and inviting community Legacy Hall offers and knew the food hall would provide the ideal site for my second location," Ware says in a release. "I can’t wait to continue to push the boundaries of what can be done with marshmallows and continue to bring happiness to those we serve."
At Legacy Hall, she'll sell marshmallows made from scratch in unique flavors such as plain, peppermint, cinnamon, salted caramel, lemon, raspberry, coffee, chocolate & cream cookie, and strawberry & cream cookie.
She'll also offer s'mores, hot and cold drinks, shakes, bowls, toasts, and skewers, and everything is marshmallowy.
Her "s'mores bowls" are her signature item, in flavors such as Chocolate Heaven, Peanut Wonder, and Berry Dream.
She also has marshmallow-themed shakes such as S’Mores, Lovin’ My Choc, and Merry Berry; and drinks including Hot Chocolate Dream, Cinn-A-Mel, and Donut You Want Coffee.
Beyond set menu items, guests can customize by building their own s'more or skewer, choosing from marshmallow flavors, sauces, and toppings.
She'll rotate in seasonal menu items such as the Piña Colada Milkshake with: vanilla ice cream, piña colada "flosting," toasted plain mallow, piña colada mallow, pretzel, pineapple, coconut, and pineapple and coconut sauces.
In a statement, Food Hall Co. VP Kulsoom Klavon offers her vote of confidence: "We feel our guests will love her unique spin and gourmet approach to the classic treat and we are very excited to welcome her to the food hall."
