Boozy Fundraisers
Help Hurricane Sandy victims one drink at a time at the W Hotel
Hurricane Sandy relief is always a good cause, but what if you could do it and get a buzz? Although the Red Cross is a worthy institution that can definitely use your money, we have an option that we think pairs nicely.
The W Dallas Victory Hotel is throwing a daylong fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief on Saturday, November 24, in which $2 from every drink will go to relief aid.
The W will donate money from any beer, cocktail or wine order from the Living Room Bar or the new Cook Hall. They’ve also created two cocktails for the event, the Relief Sandy and the Relief-tini.
The Relief Sandy is Jack Daniels, pomegranate liqueur, lime juice, gomme syrup and Sprite; the Relief-tini is Kettle One vodka, orange juice, peach liqueur and a splash of grenadine.
The David Cote Band will perform in the Living Room Bar from 9 pm to 1 am. The band will donate $2 from every CD sold.
Just so you’re clear, we’re not saying you shouldn’t donate to Red Cross. We just think that if you find yourself wanting a drink on Saturday (likely), the W is a worthwhile destination.
