Tiger Woods' mini golf concept will pop into Grandscape at The Colony
A celebrity miniature golf venue is making its Dallas debut. Popstroke, the putting course entertainment concept designed by golf legend Tiger Woods, will open in The Colony’s Grandscape shopping center at 5770 Grandscape Blvd.
According to a release, the venue will open March 28.
Popstroke comprises two unique 18-hole mini golf putting courses, created by Woods’ TGR Design team to offer competitive challenges for experienced golfers and amateurs alike. The courses are built entirely with synthetic turf, incorporating fairways, bunkers, and rough just as you might see on a traditional golf course.
Players keep track of their scores from their mobile devices through the Popstroke app.
Based in Jupiter, Florida, the company has 12 locations in Florida, Arizona, Alabama, and Texas, including the new Grandscape venue. The Colony is the second Popstroke in Texas, following a location that opened in Katy in 2022.
In addition to mini golf, the facility offers other games such as ping pong, foosball, and corn hole. Most come outfitted with a bar serving craft beer, cocktails, and wine, ice cream parlor, and restaurant.
The Grandscape space will feature climate-controlled open-air dining, an outdoor beer garden, and oversized TV screens throughout the property to round out the sports bar setting.
In addition to an ice cream parlor, there's a fully enclosed outdoor playground for kids, and a private event space overlooking both mini golf courses available for private parties and events.
"The rapid growth of the Dallas metropolitan area coupled with its deep-rooted connection to golf made The Colony a perfect destination for our expansion into Texas," PopStroke founder and CEO Greg Bartoli says. "We can’t wait to welcome new guests to PopStroke and bring together people of all ages and skill levels through an unforgettable golf entertainment experience in the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth area."
Popstroke’s new location in The Colony will join nearby competitors Top Golf and Puttery (which is also at Grandscape), plus Monster Mini Golf in Frisco.
