Art Party
Gallerie Noir in Dallas Design District turns 1 with rockin' Boombox Project bash
Dallas art enthusiasts are a faithful group, so of course they all showed up to Gallerie Noir for its one-year anniversary in the Design District. The evening also served as an opening reception for Lyle Owerko’s "The Boombox Project," featuring contemporary fine art portraits of an array of vintage boom boxes.
Gallerie Noir founder and interior designer Melissa Enriquez and gallery director Carrie White opened the space to guests who arrived and immediately began raving about Lyle Owerko's limited edition pieces while enjoying adult beverages provided by Treaty Oak Distilling Company.
Tunes from DJ Joe Ramirez took this gallery party to another level and allowed attendees — includingLucrecia Waggoner, Bill Roy, Timothy Nolan, Darin Kunz, Brittanie Buchanan Oleniczak, Nick Sayers, John Stafira, Robert Weatherly, Junior Desinor, Horacio Moros, Lynae Fearing and Kiersten Dolbec —to let loose as they studied the various works and mingled with the artist.
Owerko also signed copies of his book, The Boombox Project. His exhibit is on display at Gallerie Noir through February 21.
