40 Dallas debs enter society in style at 29th annual Presentation Ball
Forty debutantes, dressed in glowing white gowns, dipped their way into society recently at the 29th annual Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Ball chair Venise Stuart, along DSOL president Dixie Marshall and honorary chairs Cynthia and Brice Beaird, welcomed debs, their families and, of course, their handsome honor guard escorts to this special night, which is the culmination of an entire year’s worth of events.
What’s so special about the Presentation Ball? Perhaps it’s the nostalgia that sets in when someone like ball co-founder Sharon McCullough sits in the audience with her daughter and former debutante Debbie Hayhurst, and together they watch third-generation deb Gracie Hayhurst participate in the traditional ceremonies. No doubt McCullough saw not only herself but also her daughter when her granddaughter took to the stage and performed that famous Texas Dip.
In addition to Hayhurst, the 2015 debs include Arianna Allen, Ellie Allums, Kathryn Anderson, Emily Bearden, Madeline Beecherl, Ellen Beecherl, Sarah Bruyere, Anne Marie Bullington, Sissi Buss, Sarah Carlsen, Courtney Chavez, Ellen Crowe, Carolyn Cunningham, Mary Cole Daulton, Sydney Dunbar, Alex Ferrer, Brownlee Fielder, Caroline Frattaroli, Margaret Hardage, Brookie Hewes, Lexie Hood, Camille Humphrey, Arielle Iola, Sarah Kline, Courtney Klingaman, Coco Kubicki, Olivia Lewis, Alexis Madormo, Meghan Mitchell, Abbey Mock, Lauren Newman, Brooke Oliver, Brittany Perry, Caroline Reece, Megan Reynolds, Mason Strickland, Tiffany Tubb, Hayley Waring and Sydney Wilkins.
Other notable attendees were Sharon Popham, Marena Gault, Sharon Ballew, Mari and Don Epperson, and Jolie and Bart Humprey.
The annual Presentation Ball is the largest fundraiser for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, which has raised more than $10 million for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
