Boozy Dallas Premiere
Stars of TNT's Dallas kick off season 3 with J.R. Ewing Bourbon bash
To coincide with the season three premiere of Dallas on TNT, Southfork Bottling Company teamed up with Warner Bros. to launch J.R. Ewing Bourbon at Highland Park Village Theatre.
Inspired by the show’s infamous character and iconic Texas tycoon, the bourbon ($34.95) can be found on retailers’ shelves beginning end of March. The high-powered guest list — including Linda Gray, Cara Santana, Jesse Metcalfe, Julie Gonzalo, Patricia and Jerry "Mr. Dallas" Bokamper, Juan Pablo Di Pace, Marlene Forte, and Emma Bell — proved that this is one spirit that would have made Larry Hagman proud.
Andy Harmon, co-founder of Southfork Bottling Company, led guests in a toast with a shot bourbon, followed by an exclusive screening Dallas. “Creating a brand of such high quality is reflective of J.R.’s thirst for the best in life, and the new brand really pays tribute to the character with whom everyone around the world is familiar,” Harmon said.
The 80-proof bourbon — slightly fruity, with notes of vanilla, oak, orange and spice — is produced, aged four years and bottled in Kentucky. Although J.R. always preferred a Bourbon and Branch, how you enjoy it is entirely up to you.
