Where: Sixty Five Hundred
The 411: On Friday night, the North Texas regional office of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF hosted this first-time Dallas event supporting the organizations’s life-saving programs worldwide. More than 300 philanthropists showed up for dinner, a live auction and performance by violinist Bobby Yang . American Airlines was presented the inaugural UNICEF Children First Award, celebrating their more than 20-year commitment to raising awareness and funds for children worldwide through UNICEF’s Change for Good Program . The airline’s vice president of flight service, Hector Adler , along with Change for Good volunteers John Bush, Julie Mucciacciaro, Laura Schulz and Gay Zara , accepted the award on behalf of the airline.
The $600,000 raised during the live auction — featuring such items as a Tyson Chandler and Dallas Mavericks Experience, a UNICEF field visit to see one of UNICEF’s programs around the world, and a trip for two to New York Fashion Week in September 2015 — benefited UNICEF’s
Let Us Learn program
