Fun-loving crowd shows big heart at Dallas Challenge celebrity art auction
What: Fifth annual Art From the Heart Celebrity Art Auction & Benefit
Where: Seven For Parties
The 411: This signature fundraising event for Dallas Challenge featured an array of artwork from local and national celebrities, including Willie Robertson of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, Richard Rawlings of Discovery’s Fast ‘N Loud, Chynna Phillips, Lisa Loeb, Emmitt Smith and his family, Drew Pearson, and David Feherty. Designers such as Abi Ferrin, Nha Kahn and Prashe provided wearable art for the auction, while professional artists — including Mary Tomás, Micheal Ledoux and Max Jones — and young artists from Dallas Challenge youth programs also contributed their considerable talents. As they browsed and bid on artwork, attendees expressed much joy in helping this important nonprofit, which provides programs to help youth stay in school, off drugs and alcohol, and out of the criminal justice system.
