SPCA of Texas supporters channel James Bond for Fur Ball 2013 kickoff
Animal lovers gathered at the Omega store in NorthPark Center to kick off the SPCA of Texas Fur Ball 2013: Diamond Anniversary Gala, themed “Diamonds are Fur-Ever.” The store was an apropos venue for the James Bond-inspired soiree, as Omega has been Bond’s watch of choice for more than a decade.
SPCA of Texas COO Janice Estes and president James Bias welcomed board member Cassie Evans and Ruby, her sweet Cavalier King Charles rescue pup; Diamond Anniversary chairs Stacey Kivowitz and Jocelyn White; and supporters such as Don Kivowitz, Jackson, Gail Smith and Travis Souza for cocktails and small bites.
After Bias announced the 18 Fur Ball 2013 committee members, devotees admired the sleek timepieces, chatted about the upcoming black-tie affair, and shared admiration for beloved honorary chairs Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones.
From what we hear, this year’s gala will be epic — with casino games, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and dancing. The charitable event is set for September 21 at Omni Dallas.
To show support for such a worthy cause, Omega generously donated 10 percent of proceeds from the evening’s purchases to the SPCA of Texas.
