Rachofsky House Rules
Alan Cumming lights up sensational Two x Two gala and helps raise $4.5 million
Pink satin with billowing feathers is a look only Cindy Rachofsky can pull off. She was radiating alongside husband, Howard, who also looked spiffy, at the 14th annual Two x Two for AIDS and Art gala.
The Rachofskys, gala chair Amy Phelan, and art co-chairs Lindsey and Patrick Collins wowed us with a beautiful event benefiting the Dallas Museum of Art and the Foundation for AIDS Research. Two x Two is the largest fundraising event for amfAR, and the shared proceeds also support the DMA's Contemporary Art Acquisition Fund.
All shades of pink roses colored the Rachofsky House, and the gala felt like a holiday of its own. Guests were all smiles thanks to the generosity of sponsors like Aston Martin of Dallas, Cartier (represented by cute guys in bell boy suits), Todd Events, Moet Hennessey USA, Sotheby's and many more.
But the centerpiece of the party was the auction of incredible artwork donated by Linder, Eva Rothschild, Ken Solomon, Erik Madigan Heck, Will Cotton, Liz Markus, Josephine Meckseper, Tony Horton, Thomas Demand, Marc Dennis, Karla Black, Nathan Carter, and honoree Richard Phillips, whose piece sold for $300,000. All tallied, the memorable fete raised more than $4.5 million.
As if the evening couldn't get more thrilling, the one-and-only Alan Cumming took the stage and entertained the 450 attendees, among them John Benjamin Hickey (honorary chair and emcee), Julie and Ed Hawes, Olivier Meslay, Emily Summers, Nancy Dedman, Nancy Nasher, John and Marlene Sughrue, Katy and Lawrence Bock, Marion and Nash Flores, Robyn and Michael Siegel, Terry and Steve Woodward, Trina Gordon, Mary Leigh Cherry, Tina Craig, Laura Noble, Dogan Perese, Jenny and John Kirtland, Danya Anderson, Lee Cobb, and Lucilo Pena.
