Fall Fest lures in hot Dallas yo-pros for downtown rooftop party and benefit
When 500 young attorneys, accountants and businessmen come together, you don't usually expect a party. But Fall Fest was no conference.
Briefcases were left behind as members from the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Regional Chamber's Young Professionals, North Dallas Chamber's Young Professionals, Young CPAs, French American Chamber's Young Professionals and the Melrose Society gathered for a cocktail party on the roof of Gables Park 17.
As fun as the night was, these hot yo-pros had their eyes on an even greater prize: supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters via raffle tickets, sponsorships and donations.
Dallas attorney and event chair Dave Wishnew explained that these young professional groups meet up once a year, for Fall Fest. "We come together to network, build relationships and meet new people," Wishnew said. "Last year we had about 175 at the House of Blues. This year we had 500."
Talk about stepping it up a notch.
Guests — including Andy Van Noord, Veronica Roper, Troy Ashby, Isabelle De Wulf, Andrew Jenkins, Rachel Capps and Dani Bethune — sipped on cocktails and vino and dined on bites from El Fenix while meeting and greeting new young professionals.
