It's not like the Cowboys are using it
Dallas Cowboys may watch more champs play on their turf, this time in collegechampionship
It's good to know the Dallas Cowboys lack of success in Arlington isn't holding back Jerry Jones' business opportunities. On Monday afternoon, ESPN Dallas reported that the AT&T Cotton Bowl is the favorite to host the revamped BCS National Championship in January 2015.
And why not? Cowboys Stadium boasts the largest HD big-screen television in the world and recently served as the backdrop for a sold-out Cotton Bowl with nary a hiccup. Apparently, Jerry World is only cursed for those wearing a navy star on their helmets.

Sure, there was the ice-storm Super Bowl debacle of 2011. But weather is hardly predictable no matter what city you're tossing the coin in these days.
Besides, the Aggies had no trouble overcoming the Heisman hype to pull out a win at Cowboys Stadium, and the New York Giants are undefeated at Dallas' (relatively) new digs.
Why wouldn't any team — other than the one the stage was created for — enjoy the prospect of playing under the artificial lights in Arlington?
There's something deeply wrong about having the most coveted stadium in America and the most reviled football team. But such is the life of the modern day Dallas Cowboys.
We may not have made the playoffs, but perhaps that's a good thing. It frees up the field for everyone else's extracurricular activities, further lining Jones' pockets.
And people say the man doesn't have a clue. I'm sure he's crying all the way to the bank about the Cowboys truncated season.
