Savor Dallas secures city's best restaurants for 4-day food and wine festival
Savor Dallas has announced the participating restaurants for the 2015 four-day festival, which also includes a few new features. This year is the event’s first under the new direction of the Dallas Morning News’ CrowdSource.
Among those confirmed for the Reserve Tasting at the Women’s Museum in Fair Park on March 21 are AF+B, Boulevardier (with a preview of the new Rapscallion), Casa Rubia, Gemma, Hibiscus, Lark on the Park, Mansion Restaurant, Neighborhood Services, Salum and Smoke. CBD Provisions, Common Table, Dragonfly, Luck, Meddlesome Moth, Meso Maya, Pecan Lodge, Ser, Sissy’s and more than 60 others will dish out favorites across other festival events.
Savor Dallas starts with the Arts District Wine Stroll on March 19, followed by Savor the Arboretum on March 20, the aforementioned Reserve Tasting on March 21 and the Grand Tasting at Fair Park’s Centennial Hall, also on March 21. There is a Community Brunch slated for March 22 at Main Street Garden, in partnership with Downtown Dallas Inc. and Cafe Momentum.
Wine is an equally important part of Savor Dallas, and there will be hundreds to sample — from Texas wineries and renowned American wine regions, as well as international selections from France, Spain, Italy, Chile, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Portugal and Canada. Some of the offerings have been chosen by presenting sponsor Goody Goody.
New this year is a spirits alley with mixology bars at the Grand Tasting, as well as a craft mixology lounge at the Reserve Tasting. Another first is the Untapped Beer Garden, showcasing brews selected by the co-owners of the Untapped Festivals, which also fall under the CrowdSource umbrella.
Tickets — from à la carte options to all-access packages — are on sale now on the Savor Dallas website and in Goody Goody retail stores. The full list of participating restaurants, as well as confirmed wines, beers and spirits, are also available on the site.
