Owners Lisa and Tom Georgalis lured VIP guests to Ivy Tavern with the promise of drinks, bites and lots of live music. The goal: introduce these scenesters to Lemmon Avenue's newest neighborhood hot spot.
Attendees — including Brittanie and Justin Oleniczak, Darin Kunz, Clint Bradley, JB Hayes, Beth Stavinoha, Christie Whitten, Yajaira McGovern, and Melissa Rountree — explored the rustically styled interior, but the owners were most excited to show off the patio, which they claim is one of the best in Dallas. It features a fire pit, picnic tables, oversized Jenga board, cornhole and darts.
Droo D'Anna entertained guests on the tree-covered patio with live music, while DJ OB-Jen & Juice revved up the party inside, where servers passed Greek pita sandwiches and brisket grilled cheeses. With bars inside and out, there was no waiting in line for craft beers or custom cocktails.
Ivy Tavern is now open to the public from 11 am-2 am daily.
