Red hot Dallas fundraiser cools down with poolside Uptown fashion show
If you have a passion for fashion, fun and philanthropy, then you want to add Red on the Runway to your summer social calendar. Dallas Red Foundation's third annual poolside fashion show takes place July 25 at Sisu in Uptown.
Dallas Red Foundation focuses on providing financial support to organizations in the North Texas area that serve individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. This annual fête helps raise funds and awareness.
Going down at one of the neighborhood's trendiest hangs, this year's Red on the Runway showcases men's fashion in the hottest way possible — poolside, of course. Expect to see underwear, swimwear and even semi-formal wear from brands such as AussieBum, ES Collection, Fallen Pearls, thrIII and Dallas' own Edo Popken, among others.
As the men strut their stuff, guests can sip Equality vodka cocktails and listen to music by DJ Jose G alongside fellow fashionable and philanthropic Dallasites.
Attendees also get a chance to make a real difference. All ticket sales benefit the Legacy Counseling Center and Founders Cottage, an organization providing affordable mental health care, substance abuse treatment and special care housing services to people living with HIV in the North Texas area.
"It's time to up the ante for fashion events in Dallas, and what better way to do that by raising money for Legacy and the work they do in our community," says Justin Williams, Dallas Red Foundation's board president.
Tickets start at $65 and can be purchased online. Doors open at 9:30 pm, and the show starts at 10:30.
