A new wellness experience is coming to Richardson. Called Altered States Wellness, it's a float therapy studio and spa founded in Coppell which is opening a location at 212 W Campbell Rd. in a small shopping center just west of US-75.
This will be the second location, and according to a release, it will open in January.
It will offer a variety of options including Float Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna's, Cold Plunges, PEMF Mats, and Compression Therapy — all designed to help clients de-stress, recover, and rejuvenate in a therapeutic yet luxurious setting.
Altered States was founded in 2017 by JoJo and Kyle Struebing, who share a commitment to health and wellness and a desire to empower others towards a similar path. The couple were seeking a natural lifestyle that included eschewing alcohol or reliance on pharmaceuticals, and created Altered States as a sanctuary to escape, recharge, and face life's challenges with renewed vitality.
Amenities include:
Immersive Themed Float Rooms: From the tranquil vibes of the Grotto to the psychedelic Neon Glow Room, each float is designed to transport you to a different world.
Spacious Float Cabins: Unlike traditional float pods, these roomy cabins provide the full sensory deprivation experience without feelings of claustrophobia.
Private and Luxurious Therapy Spaces: Each room features a private Vitamin C shower, premium bath and beauty essentials, and convenient onsite dressing rooms for the ultimate relaxation experience.
Altered States Wellness also offers a line of vitamins and supplements, utilizing the power of humic and fulvic to support optimal health and vitality.
Floats Start at $79, and memberships start at $49 per month, which gets you your choice of a 60-minute Float, Fire & Ice, Infrared Sauna, Cold Plunge, or The Lab. A minimum commitment of 3 months is required, after which you can continue on a month-to-month basis.
Richardson will be a larger location with a versatile space called the Dreamscape Lounge, for girls' nights, spa days, birthday celebrations, brainstorming sessions, and date nights. This expansion highlights the couple's dedication to creating community-centered wellness destinations that go beyond traditional spa offerings.
“We’re especially excited about the larger space this location offers,” JoJo says. “Our goal has always been to create spaces where people can not only reset but also connect, celebrate, and unlock their full potential.”
