Ladies and gents sporting their finest apparel flocked to the Neiman Marcus flagship store in downtown Dallas for the annual Crystal Charity Ball 10 Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon. The beloved event marks the official start of the fall social season in Dallas.
With champagne glasses tinkling and designer heels tapping, the beauty department was a whirl of excitement as the city's most stylish posed for pictures. After plenty of hobnobbing overseen by luncheon chair Pam Perella, attendees made their way to the massive white tent erected in the valet lot.
There, amid white roses, a gleaming white runway, and — of course — an abundance of crystals, this year's crop of 10 Best Dressed nominees were honored. Anita Arnold, Katherine Coker, Janie Condon, Tucker Enthoven, Heather Esping, Mary Clare Finney, Margaret Hancock, Pat Harloe, Julie Hawes, and Piper Wyatt, along with Hall of Famer Betsy Sowell, received their congratulations before the luncheon's guest of honor was announced.
Carolina Herrera, who's dressed everyone from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis to Michelle Obama, celebrated the 35th anniversary of her label while presenting a preview of her resort 2017 collection. She also received the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion, joining past honorees Coco Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Giorgio Armani, and Karl Lagerfeld.
Spotted in the charitable crowd were Sunie Solomon, Hillary Reeder, Toni Muñoz-Hunt, Norma Hunt, Erin Mathews, Kevin Hurst, Barbara Daseke, Peggy Sewell, Robin McMonigle, Myrna Schlegel, and Niven Morgan.
The Crystal Charity Ball, chaired by Christie Carter, is set for Saturday, December 3, at the Hilton Anatole.
