At the Neiman Marcus flagship store in downtown Dallas, fashionable philanthropists welcomed the fall social season with the annual Crystal Charity Ball 10 Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon.
The highly anticipated — and sold out — affair is one of the many glittering events hosted by the independent nonprofit, which raises funds to aid, support, and make contributions to Dallas children's charities. The season's grand finale, the Crystal Charity Ball (chaired by Pam Perella), will be held on December 2 at the Hilton Anatole.
But on this warm September morning, giving-minded men and women donned their stylish best and headed to the luncheon, which was planned with precision by chair Christi Urschel. After an hour or so of sipping Champagne in the beauty department, guests were whisked upstairs to enjoy the meal and a fashion show by special guest, designer Zac Posen.
The opening of neighbor Forty Five Ten necessitated moving the luncheon from its past spot in a chichi tent on the Neiman Marcus parking lot into the department store itself. That extra shot of air conditioning made it even easier for attendees to honor this year's 10 Best Dressed nominees: Anita Arnold, Delilah Boyd, Katherine Coker, Janie Condon, Lisa Cooley, Tucker Enthoven, Pat Harloe, Julie Hawes, Amy Hegi, and Piper Wyatt.
2016 Hall of Fame honoree Charlotte Jones Anderson also received a round of applause from the crowd, which included her mother, 2012 Hall of Fame honoree Gene Jones. It was the first time in the event's history that a mother and daughter had each been inducted.
Also spotted among the attendees were Jan Showers, Morgan Niven, Jessica Nowitzki, Bella Cooley, CultureMap lifestyle editor-at-large Kimberly Whitman, Norma Hunt, Toni Muñoz-Hunt, Hilary Reeder, and Barbara Daseke.
