Deck the hall with boughs of jewelry! That was the case recently at the home of Ylang 23 owners Joanne and Charles Teichman, who invited fashion-forward Dallasites to a trunk show and personal appearance with Cathy Waterman.
The California-based Waterman, who creates beautiful baubles using recycled metals and fair-trade stones, has become the go-to jewelry designer for stars such as Leighton Meester, Vanessa Hudgens and Julia Roberts. Waterman also can be credited for the jewelry featured in Snow White and the Huntsman, including the crown worn by Charlize Theron.
Co-hostess Kimberly Schlegel Whitman helped welcome guests — including Tina Craig, Myrna Schlegel, Paige Flink, Lauren Havens, Gina Halliburton and Celina Escobedo — who fell into the holiday spirit with some cocktails, seasonal bites and chit-chat with Waterman and daughter Claire Kislinger.
Ten percent of proceeds for the evening went to the Family Place, one of the featured charities in our CultureMap Charity Challenge.
