Tesla entices Dallas drivers with new shopping-mall showroom
The world's hottest car company is giving Dallas shoppers a new reason to visit the Galleria. Tesla has opened a new showroom on Level I of the North Dallas shopping mall.
There, car enthusiasts and curious drivers alike can schedule a test-drive of Tesla hot rods, including the popular new Model 3. The Galleria Dallas store showcases all of the current Tesla offerings.
“Nineteen million shoppers visit Galleria Dallas each year,” says Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed in a release. “Those shoppers represent great potential customers for Tesla. Galleria Dallas is committed to creating unique retail experiences for our guests, and Tesla is a perfect fit for that strategy.”
It's the fifth showroom in North Texas for the electric carmaker. The first opened at Dallas' NorthPark Center in 2014. There also are stores in Fort Worth's Shops at Clearfork, Southlake Town Square, and Legacy West in Plano.
According to websites that cover the industry, Tesla is actively expanding its presence in shopping malls with significant foot traffic. The new Dallas location is one of 11 new stores opening around the U.S. A location in San Antonio's popular La Cantera development was also unveiled.
State regulations mean Tesla can't sell its cars out of the galleries; any mention of pricing is also prohibited.
Founded in 2003 by Elon Musk, Tesla has revolutionized the electric auto market with its innovative designs and state-of-the-art technology. To schedule a drive demonstration at the Galleria Dallas showroom, pop into the gallery on Level I or visit tesla.com.
