The hot luxury hotel recently opened the doors to Vital, a 3,600-square-foot subterranean urban fitness studio that complements ESPA. Just like the spa, the gym is available to both hotel guests and downtown denizens.
The fitness studio, located beneath Traffic LA Men’s, offers daily 50- to 75-minute yoga and core fitness group classes, such as cardio sculpt, core fitness, soothing yoga or restorative yoga. Classes are available as early as 6 am and as late as 6:30 pm, and everything you need — such as yoga mats, nonslip covers and props — is provided.
Your first class is just $15; after that, they are $20 each. You can also get an introductory unlimited two-week pass for $75 or a 10-class pack for $180. If you prefer to work out alone, private classes classes start at $90. Guests attending Vital classes also receive complimentary valet services through the hotel.
But let’s get to the good stuff. At Vital, post-workout time has never felt so luxurious. The men’s and women’s locker rooms feature showers with rain showerheads; body sprays; and ESPA shower gel, shampoo and conditioner for an experience more befitting a hotel. The vanity areas are stocked with hairdryers, curling irons, flat irons, deodorant, Living Proof hair styling products, plush towels and ESPA lotion so you can get in a workout and then go about your business.
On your way out, rehydrate with Roots Juices or Koa Organic Water or shop for specialty athletic wear in the studio boutique.
