Dispatch From the Twitterverse
Dallas-Fort Worth police officers take Twitter followers on a virtual 24-hour ridealong
Police officers, by nature, have to be somewhat serious people. After all, who wants the person slapping handcuffs on you to be cracking jokes? But law enforcement officials the world over are mixing business with humor today as part of a 24-hour tweet-a-thon.
Officers from 11 cities across Dallas-Fort Worth are taking Twitter followers on a virtual ridealong via the hashtag #poltwt. Participating departments include Dallas, Arlington, Carrollton, Denton and Grapevine. The tweet-a-thon wraps up Saturday morning, so get in on the live police action while you have the chance.
