After a day-long search, Dallas police have located the body of a missing person in White Rock Lake. According to witnesses, Jeremy Daugherty, 24, jumped from a bridge into the lake on Tuesday, May 20.
He was a with a friend, who noticed Daugherty was having trouble swimming. Police say fatigue hindered his friend's attempt to save him, and Daugherty slipped under the water, never to resurface.
Dallas Fire Department and police dive teams worked together to search for Daugherty's body. Though drowning appears to be the cause of death, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office will complete an autopsy before handing down its official ruling.
