Pet of the Week
You don't have to travel far to bring Rome home for the holidays
Greetings, animal lovers. From last week, Tinkerbell was adopted. But there is more work to do, because Dylan still needs a forever home.
This week meet Rome, who came to the SPCA of Texas on July 11 because his owners were moving and couldn’t take him with them. What a bummer.
Let’s meet this friendly, kid-loving pup who can’t wait to settle into his new home for the holidays.
Breed: Labrador mix
Age: 5 years
Weight: 66 pounds
Personality: Rome is a sweet guy who likes all people and other animals. Although he’d love to play with you, he’d love to snuggle even more. According to his previous owners, he’s a bit of a scaredy-cat. He likes to think of himself as a modern-day Scooby Doo, so maybe some Scooby Snacks will help make him brave.
Vital stats: Rome has been neutered and microchipped, and he has received all age-appropriate vaccinations.
Come meet Rome today (#132656) at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
Regular adoption fees are $95-$125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-$95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for kittens, $75 for adult cats, $50 for senior cats 7 years and older, and $50 for VIP cats.
