Dallas company named No. 1 employer in Texas for 2023 by Fortune magazine
Dallas-Fort Worth workers looking for their next employment opportunity might want to consider the long list of local companies that were just named the Best Workplaces in Texas for 2023 by Fortune and Great Place to Work.
Great Place to Work, which helps employers improve their workplace culture, and Fortune magazine annually team up to select the best companies to work for in two categories: small and midsize employers, and large employers. Rankings are based on feedback from employee surveys and data from Great Place to Work-certified employers.
Dallas-based digital marketing agency PMG was named the No. 1 employer in Texas in the "small and medium" market.
PMG workers surveyed say their company is "extremely supportive" of their employees.
"Raises and promotions occur on a regular cadence with rationale as to why you did or did not receive one," the report says. "The transparency here is unmatched and gives employees a sense of belonging to the team rather than just being worker bees with no explanation on why things are happening."
Four more Dallas-Fort Worth companies appear in the top 10 best "small and medium" Texas employers list: Dallas consulting firms Credera (No. 2), Pariveda (No. 3), and Embark LLC (No. 5); and Plano-based homebuilders Highland Homes (No. 6).
Addison-based Credera was No. 1 on last year's list. Though it slipped to No. 2 this year, employees in the report say their leaders have developed an "extremely kind and collaborative" workplace culture and call their leadership "transparent and trustworthy."
