Play miniature golf indoors at fun new venue near Dallas' Sylvan Thirty
After a year in the making, a miniature golf course will open in Dallas, near the Sylvan Thirty complex in West Dallas. Called Another Round, it features 12 indoor miniature golf holes, plus a full bar, cocktails, and gourmet finger foods.
Located in a former AC warehouse at 660 Fort Worth Ave., Another Round opens June 19.
The concept was founded by Oak Cliff residents Alicia and Kendall Spence, who did their research before opening their own venue.
"Mini golf was always a fun activity we enjoyed on vacation, but we realized when we got home we were missing a destination near us to have a similar experience," says Kendall in a release. "After traveling to the best miniature golf venues across the country, we have drawn inspiration from the best elements of each to bring an elevated indoor version to Oak Cliff."
Along with the golf, they'll have food and drink with a menu of handheld bites from neighboring Cooper's Meat Market.
Warm items include:
- Wagyu Hot Dog
- Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
- Chicken Tenders
- Chophouse Sliders – ground chuck mixed with smoked brisket topped with steak sauce, bacon, and cheddar cheese
Chilled items include:
- Salmon dip
- Crudite with green goddess dressing
- mini charcuterie board
The bar will have beer, wine, craft cocktails, and coffee from Oak Cliff coffee company Peaberry Coffee. Cocktails have golf-themed names such as the Caddie with Lunazul Blanco, passion fruit habanero puree, cilantro, and lime; and the Hole in One with Jack Rye, cardamom, angostura, and orange oils.
You can become a member, just like at a regular golf club, by paying an annual fee of $300 which gets you discounts, free mixers, a name-plated locker, and a priority on classes and tastings. They have 40 personalized Member Lockers available for rent.
With the virus still on everyone's minds, Another Round will offer "Quaran-Tee-Time" Mondays-Fridays from 10 am-3 pm, where for $150, you can reserve the entire course for an hour and a half for up to 14 people, fun for the entire family.
Every year, they'll update the decor with a fresh theme that includes murals and Instagrammable installations, to keep the venue fresh. Their opening theme is Oak Cliff Country Club.
