Gear Up for a Good Time
All the entertainment you can expect at the Dallas Bike Ride
When the Dallas Bike Ride takes over the city on November 3, cyclists and spectators can expect a lot of amazing sights. The 20-mile ride is car-free, giving everyone a view of the city that they likely have never experienced before.
But whether you're strapping on a helmet or readying a supportive sign to wave from the sidelines, there's a whole lineup of entertainment you won't want to miss. Here's your guide to the musical acts, menus, selfie stations, and brunch options of the Dallas Bike Ride.
On the course
The route winds its way through some of Dallas' most iconic neighborhoods, serving up landmarks and sightseeing opps aplenty. In the Arts District, Ernesto's Mariachis will be playing a playful tune, while rock violinist Richmond Punch will be rocking out in Reverchon Park.
The Slow Bone is serving up a barbecue pit stop in the Design District, with helpings of brisket hush puppies and country music from Mike Randall. In the Bishop Arts District, the Dallas Mavericks Drumline is sure to rejuvenate any tired legs, while the Red Bull MXT DJ Truck keeps the tunes going at the Jefferson Viaduct. Be sure to pause there too for the Skyline Selfie Stop, with The Photo Bus DFW providing picture-perfect props for posing.
Finish Line Festival
The ride begins and ends at City Hall Plaza in downtown, and the entertainment will be nonstop all morning. DJ 2Day starts things off from 9:30-10:15 am, followed by headliners Jon Christopher Davis & Lone Star Attitude from 10:30-11:30 am. From their own songs to the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty, the group encompasses the full spectrum of the Americana music experience. DJ 2Day finishes out the festival from 11:45 am-12:30 pm.
Besides music, attendees can enjoy yoga sponsored by Methodist Dallas, food trucks, the Cigna Health & Wellness Zone, refreshments, the KIND Kids Zone, and a beer garden stocked with Community Beer Co. brews. Wondering what to do with your bike during this celebration? BikeDFW has got you covered with complimentary bike valet.
Bikes & Brunch
From 12-2 pm at the Dallas Farmers Market, just minutes from the finish line, VisitDallas is hosting the official after-party event. All Dallas Bike Ride participants, friends, and family can continue this celebration of life on two wheels with a concert from The Bodarks and brunch and beverage options from a number of local DFM vendors and shops. There will be free giveaways from VisitDallas, too, so you won't want to miss it.
