Elton John is taking the long road to goodbye. Almost two years after announcing The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, John has booked two more concerts in Dallas, playing again at American Airlines Center on June 26 and 27, 2020.
John's first two concerts in Dallas, on December 14 and 15, 2018, sold out quickly, which these two are likely to do as well. It was always the plan for the tour to last into 2021, but Dallas is one of only 12 cities — and the only Texas city — to be part of the fifth leg of the tour.
The announcement of the new dates closely follows the release of John's autobiography, Me, which was released on October 15 and sits atop the New York Times bestsellers list.
Taking the audience on a magical journey through his career, the tour features some of John’s most beloved songs, including, “Bennie and the Jets,” “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Philadelphia Freedom.” The audience will also experience a rare glimpse into John’s life and the personal meaning behind some of his greatest hits, with never-before-seen photos and videos shown throughout the show from his 50-year career.
Tickets for the new concerts will be available through registration using Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Verified Fan registration is available now through Friday, October 25 at 10 pm. The Verified fan presale will begin Tuesday, October 29 at 10 am and run through Wednesday, October 30 at 10 pm. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, November 1 at 12 pm.
In addition, American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Thursday, October 24 at 10 am through Monday, October 28 at 10 pm.
Also, a limited number of exclusive VIP packages will also be available starting Thursday, October 24. These exclusive offers can include premium tickets, on-stage photo opportunities at Elton John’s piano, backstage tours, limited-edition lithographs, custom merchandise, and more.
